Native Düsseldorf

Native Düsseldorf

Name: Anduka Enkhtur

Age: 25

Next up in our Native series; she has the best locks in the business, Düsseldorf's finest, Anduka Enkhtur. Currently residing in Vienna, the 25 year old student is one of our favourite ladies spreading the word of #inmyNY. We wanted to find out a little more - and you can find out too, in the Q & A below.

What do you do and why do you do it?

I'm a 6th year medical student, part-time photo model and a part-time blogger without the blog, but with fancy pictures ;) Since I was a little girl becoming a doctor was one of my biggest dreams. The road to success can be really really tough and I've seen some of my friends parting ways with me, but I kept going. And if you come to think of it, what better way of being rewarded than seeing a patient recovering and see him smile?

How has growing up in Düsseldorf impacted your style?

I always was on the move growing up. From Mongolia to Washington DC to Berlin and Düsseldorf. All those different countries and cities changed my view of style. I still haven't found a style, which has stuck with me forever. Still searching this big beautiful world.

What is your favourite Native Youth piece?

I loooovee every collection NY has ever launched, but if I had to choose it would be the "Longline Blazer and Culotte Jumpsuit in Olive"! This is definitely one of my most-worn pieces. I always get so many compliments and the best thing is you can dress it down or up. It's soo flowy, I love it!

Anduka wears: The Zori co-ord, launching mid-June

Who do you think dresses well?

The girl sitting across from me in the bus. The busy business man passing me in the city. That 86 year old woman sitting in the cafe. There is not a specific person I look up to. Inspiration is everywhere.

What excites you about Düsseldorf?

Even though it's a big city, it's not so busy like Berlin. I love Berlin, but sometimes it can be really tiring if you live there long enough. You can have fun in Düsseldorf, but also have a chill Sunday.

Top Düsseldorf tip/secret?

Definitely visit the old town and have a stroll on the Rhine River, especially in summer. Düsseldorf also has a little Japanese town near the main station with bomb Asian food. A must see and eat!

What advice would you give your younger self?

Believe in yourself, have a little more confidence and speak your mind, even though it can be a bit challenging at first. Don't worry little worm, you're gonna grow to be a beautiful butterfly someday.

What does the future hold?

Nobody can predict the future, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of good is gonna happen. Life is good and karma will treat you well!
